September 18, 2010 Sunday wake up Yesterday we biked over to the Sunday farmer’s market and of course the boys needed a snack before heading home. Hey, at least it was *organic* fro-yo ;) September 13, 2010 Question my sanity in 3… 2…1… Lately I’ve been helping at kindergarten recess and let me tell you, that’s one energetic pack of 88 kids. It is pretty fun but afterwards I go home and relish the absolute quiet. How in the world do teachers do this all day long? September 9, 2010 Week two After school today we biked over to Charlie’s glasses shop to see about getting his (new!) glasses repaired. Since everyone was well behaved we stopped for a snack as well. They wanted to sit in the sun, and there were three of them, three spaces, it all seemed very logical at the time. August 30, 2010 9am The kids have had breakfast and are playing Wii, and I’m in bed procrastinating getting up. This week was a long one full of new schedules and crap. I think the dogs and I are going to stay in bed for a few more minutes :) August 28, 2010 What have I done I went to a little open house this morning at Charlie’s kindergarten and what did I see as I was wandering around? A sweet palm tree on the wall with all the smiling faces of the kids in the class. Everyone but Charlie was in a normal pose. I don’t know why this picture came… August 27, 2010 Charlie loves Kindergarten so far And yes, he really is all that. August 26, 2010 Stella! When we got Stella (at work with me today) at the beginning of the summer they told us she was about 9 months old and would get to be about 40 pounds. Then we took her to our vet about a month later who told us she was 6 months old tops was still growing.… August 25, 2010 Heat wave + soccer practice Wow, so today was the first day of school and Henry’s first day of soccer. Oh and it was day two of heatpocalypse. Can you tell he was a little warm at the end? August 24, 2010 Let’s talk about bread, man. So here’s the thing. Pretty sure I’m not ready for this. August 20, 2010 Less hair I rode down to the shopping center this morning to get a hair cut. In the ten minutes I was sitting outside waiting for my appointment I saw more people smoking cigarettes than I have for the last month. What’s up with that? It was a fun quick ride both ways. I’m not looking forward… August 19, 2010 Another bike Charlie isn’t able to keep up with us on the way, but once we get to a park or somewhere else with wide open spaces he’s a speed demon with training wheels. August 18, 2010 Nothing! I got to bike all by myself today. I went over to the kids’ school to help get ready for the new school year, and it was really fun not to be pulling dogs or guiding a flock through an intersection. Back to normal tomorrow, though :) August 17, 2010 A refurbished Wii We rode downtown this afternoon because the boys had finally saved up enough to get a new (to us) Wii. Our old one died out of warranty and it has been a while since they could get their Mario fix. They were so proud to bring it home!
